DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Departure from Manila to Amman, Jordan
Day 2: Arrival to Amman
Meet your Jordanian guide and you will start your visit to the biblical town of Madaba. Discover the amazing Byzantine mosaics excavated from throughout the town. See the ‘Madaba Map’, the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Lands. Continue to biblical Mount Nebo from which Moses looked across to the Promised Land (Israel) before he died; see also a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Mount Nebo is believed to be the site of the tomb of Moses. Then, transfer to Wadi Rum and experience a 2 hour drive in a desert safari with amazing views of red rock mountains and formations through a 4×4 jeep. Dinner and overnight in Wadi Rum Hasan Zawaideh Camp
Day 3: Full day visiting the Nabatean City of Petra
Visit the Nabatean Treasure City of Petra, one of the world’s greatest archaeological sites, the 2,000 years old city of Petra, known as the red rock city, the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century B.C. to the 2nd century A.C. Enter the first part of the impressive, infamous fissure known as the Siq and bear witness to the sophistication of the Nabateans. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the Rose-Red City with its spectacular treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers. Transfer to Harir Palace Hotel or similar class at Amman for dinner and Overnight.
Day 4: Amman – Israel transfer to Lower Tiberias Israel
After Breakfast. Transfer to Sheik Hussein Border at Bet She’an to enter Israel. Your first Israel biblical tour experience in Israel will start in Mount Gilboa which is a monument to the death of King Saul when he fled from the fierce battle against the Philistines at the valley of Armageddon. Then you will continue exploring the Beit Shean as one of the country’s best and largest archaeological sites way back in the Roman Era. Beit Shean is mentioned in the Bible several times and is best known as the site where the dead bodies of King Saul and his sons were hung from the city walls. Lastly, visit Nazareth where Jesus grew up visiting the Basilica of the Annunciation where Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her that she would conceive the Son of God. Transfer to your Hotel in Tiberias for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Tiberias Center
Our tour continues to the region of Galilee which is the Northern center of Jesus ministry. Begin the day by experiencing and enjoying boating at the Sea of Galilee. Sail in a wooden boat and feel how the Lord Jesus sailed into it together with His disciples. Then to Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus taught His famous sermon recorded in Matthew 5-8. Down to Tabgha which is the site of the multiplication of the Fishes and Loaves. Then to Capernaum & see the old synagogue & St. Peter’s house. Lastly, visit Yardenit which is the Baptismal site in Jordan River Tiberias.
Day 6: Valley of Psalms 23 / Masada / Jericho / Dead Sea
Today we will explore Judea and our first destination is the panoramic view of Death Valley in Wadi Qelt which describes in Psalms 23. Then go down to Jericho, the oldest and lowest city in the world to view the Mountain where Satan Tempted Jesus. Thirdly, you will experience swimming and floating naturally in Dead Sea. Return to Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity which is the most significant site for Christians, the birthplace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Day 7: Jerusalem Center: Trail of Jesus
Today our tour will begin to the Holy City of God, the Jerusalem which is the Spiritual Capital of Israel and the center for revival among Christians. Visit the Chapel of Ascension where Jesus last seen by His disciples as He returned to heaven. Continue down to Mount of Olives to see a breathtaking view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk down the Palm Sunday Road for a short visit to Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and to Garden of Gethsemane and see the ancient olive trees which are the silent eyewitness of the agony of our Lord Jesus. Proceed to Bethesda where Christ healed a paralytic man, see also Saint Anne’s Church and old water cistern. Walk through Via Dolorosa Street unto the Church of Holy Sepulcher which marks the crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord. Continue to Upper Room where the Holy Supper observed and then to the Tomb of David known as the man after God’s own heart and the greatest king of Israel. And finally, to the Western Wall the holiest site for the Jews and spend a moment of prayer. Return to your hotel for dinner and rest.
DAY 08: Bethlehem / Ramon Crater / Cairo
Today we will visit Ramon Crater in Israel’s Negev Desert which is the world’s largest erosion crater or makhtesh, created 220 million years ago when oceans covered the area. From here you will now go directly to Taba border to cross Egypt going to Sinai. Drive to Saint Catherine. Upon arrival you will view the place where Moses received the 10 Commandments. Transfer to your hotel for dinner and rest.
DAY 09: Mount Sinai Hiking/Saint Catherine/Cairo Transfer
At 1 am, the guide will lead you to an OPTIONAL hiking at Mount Sinai approximately 3 hours going up and another 3 hours going down depending on the weather condition. After a 6 hours hiking, 8 am you will be back at the hotel to rest and have your breakfast. Check out at your hotel and visit St. Catherine Monastery where God appeared to Moses in a burning bush. Then we will transfer to Cairo via Suez Canal, the capital of Egypt. Along the way, you will see the granite mountain of Mount Sinai and Wadi El Raha where according to tradition is the area where the Israelites camped and the golden calf was forged (Exodus 32). Transfer to your hotel and rest.
DAY 10: Pyramids / Old Cairo
After your delicious breakfast, visit the famous Egyptian Museum with over 100,000 exhibits which boast the most comprehensive collection of Pharaonic art in the world. Here we will teach you a brief but colorful insight into the five thousand years history of Egypt’s fascinating land. Then you will start exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, the three great Pyramids of Giza. The oldest and grandest of the three is the Cheops Pyramid built in the 3rd dynasty about 2690 B.C. Next is the Pyramids of Chefren and wonder at the majestic Great Sphinx, which is the largest single block sculpture located at the foot of the grand Pyramid Chefren. In the area of the Pyramids providing for a superb picture take an opportunity to ride a camel with the Pyramids as a backdrop. Visit Old Cairo, and the City’s cultural landmarks that span three millennium of Egyptian history. Then explore the spices and silks in the medieval bazaar of Khan el-Khalili, one of the largest bazaars in the Middle East and North Africa’s most famous bazaar. By night, experience cruise and dinner to the famous Nile River. Back to hotel and rest
DAY 11: Old Cairo / Departure
Before your departure, you will visit Old Cairo, the City’s cultural landmarks that span three millennium of Egyptian history. Starting with Coptic Church, where you will see the Hanging Church, dating to the late 4th and early 5th century. This basilica was named “Al-Mu’allaqah” because it was built atop the south gate of the Babylon Fortress. Continue to the Church of St. Sergius, a 5th century Coptic Church. This basilica is built on the cave in which the Holy Family stayed and is regarded by visitors as a source of blessing.
DAY 12: Arrival in Manila
Home sweet home and end of the services.
